Perfect BBQ Meatballs. 3 Reasons to love it.

1/2 lb. beef mince
1 small onion, chopped (Pantry Item)
1 scotch bonnet pepper, minced (Pantry Item)
3 cloves garlic (Pantry Item)
1/4 cup Italian herb breadcrumbs (Pantry Item)
1 egg (Pantry Item)
1 stalk scallion, chopped (Pantry Item)
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup water (Pantry Item)
1 tbsp. brown sugar (Pantry Item)
1 tbsp. vegetable oil or margarine (Pantry Item)
salt and pepper to taste (Pantry Item)
Directions
- In a mixing bowl add mince and season with salt, pepper and all purpose seasoning.
- Combine onions, garlic, scallion, pepper and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Mix and add most of the seasonings to the mince.
- Add a whole egg and mix well.
- Using a measuring cup or spoon, scoop mince to create evenly sized meatballs.
- In a medium sauce pot heat 1tbsp or margarine on medium heat.
- Add remaining seasoning, BBQ sauce, water and sugar. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Add meatballs to the pot and cook for 20-25 minutes. Turn meatballs half way through cooking.
- Enjoy it while its hot.
Notes
- Use your favourite BBQ sauce, if you love it then its a sure win.
- Seasoned breadcrumb is always better in my opinion.
- Keep sauce low and thick. Add small amounts of water on occasion to prevent it from drying out.
- This goes well with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles. Go wild!
